96/97 Rosati/Nothnagle Polarcats Race #2
Riverton Community Center, December 22, 1996
The second Polarcats race of the season took place under weather conditions
almost as good as the first. And vastly better that what we had last season
at this event! Taking wind chill into account, we were pretty close to Bill
Kehoe's prediction of being 55 degrees warmer this time around...and we did
have a pretty good wind from the West in 35 degree temperatures. It's just
that last year's event was the Siberian Survival Run from hell!
As for the race itself; we seem to be settling down into a comfortable
pattern here: Dan Rohnke and Renee Rombaut were the winners again.
(Well, it's a comfortable pattern for them)
We also held a raffle that raised money for the Association for Retarded
Citizens and engaged in a holiday feast featuring, among other things, High-
Powered Anglo-Mexican Vegetarian Chili.
