Race weather doesn't get any closer to perfect than this. Clear
skies, 50 degree temperature and just the slightest detectable
breeze from the South. Colored leaves on the trees and on the
ground everywhere. It looked like one of those perfect autumn
days that you usually see only in "I Love NY" tourism
brochures.
The perfect conditions brought out a fast field, led home by John
Trowse in 14:50. Tim McMullen won the men's masters division (4th
overall) in 15:33 and, in the comeback of the year, Renee Rombaut
won the women's overall in 18:50.
