Live Oak and Vines

This oak tree, which looks as if it's being strangled by poison ivy vines, is near my brother's house in Ocala, Florida. The moment I saw it I knew it would make a great photograph. It took a lot of work in Photoshop getting the black & white conversion and the overall tonality exactly right, but the effort was worth it in the end. It makes a startling print. Photographed with the Pentax K10D and Pentax 77mm f/1.8 Limited lens.
