THE RACE.
The weather forecasters were right for once (it had to happen eventually, I suppose). Cool (in the low 40s) with a strong wind from the East. As you probably know by now, this resulted in slow times all round and bone-chilling cold for spectators (and photographers). Many Rochester runners appeared to be running for fun, rather than time, and most that I saw seemed to be enjoying themselves. Didn't see too many of them during the race, though. Disappointing but not particularly surprising with 18,000 entrants this year.
