Launched in 2009 to showcase the work of fine photographers and support childhood cancer research, the PDML Photo Annual showcases fine photography from artists around the world and raises money to support the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute's Pediatric Oncology Global Outreach program.

The contributing Photographers are members of the Pentax-Discuss Mail List, and come from all over the world. Their photographic styles are as varied as the multicultural nature of the list membership would suggest. There are are photographers who excel at black & white street photography, expansive landscapes, expressive portraits, sports, macro, abstract, fashion, travel, wildlife and various combinations of the above. If you are already a fan of fine art photography you'll find a lot to love in these collections; if you're new to this art form then these books are great introduction.

Each 8 x 10-inch book contains around 120 pages, including the best photographic work of PDML members plus the infamous PDML Quotation list, a treasure trove of insight, wisdom and absurdity that's as diverse and odd as the members of the PDML themselves. NOTE: The ebook version is compatible with most ebook readers, but not the Amazon Kindle, due to Amazon's rather ominous refusal to support the open standard .epub electronic book format. Since the PDML Photo Annual is a book of color photography and the Kindle is B&W-only, this isn't really an issue.
