New Photoblog image: Surfer Boy
A while back I was hanging out with some friends at Laguna Beach, California (it's a dirty job but...) As always, I had a camera with me and I took the opportunity to shoot some beach scenes. The waves weren't very big but this young surfer and his friends were making the most of them.

Appalachian Mountain Club photo contest winner
My photograph Spring Melt at Pinkham Notch recently won the "People's Choice" award in the annual photo contest held by the Appalachian Mountain Club. (You can see the contenders here.) This will be one of the prints I donate to my Pan-Mass Challenge cycling team's silent auction in 2012 and the award may help raise the bidding prices and generate a few extra dollars for the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.
