Vivitar 70-210 f/2.8-4.0 Series 1 Zoom

When they were introduced in the late 1970's, the Vivitar Series 1 zooms caused quite a stir: They were fast, very sharp
and had a pretty decent "macro" capability (around 1:2.5 magnification). They were also expensive.
Still, they were so good they sold very well despite the high price and all these years later they're still great lenses, even for
digital cameras (but only if you shoot Pentax - Canon and Minolta have entirely changed their lens mounts and
Nikon's D70 will accept the lens physically but won't meter, though the D2x will). For more information, I have a page devoted entirely to the
various versions of the Vivitar 70-210 Series 1.
