Pentax 645 camera with 45mm f/2.8 lens

Pentax 645 camera with 45mm f/2.8 lens

For me, the 645 format was the ideal way to go meduim format: A lot bigger negative than 35mm film but with much lighter and less bulky equipment than 6 x 7 cm medium format. As an added bonus, all of Pentax's lenses for their 6 x 7 system will fit on the 645 with an adapter. Now that's the best of both worlds!

Here the 645 is shown with the Pentax 645-A 45mm f/2.8 lens, which gives a field of view approximately equivalent to that of a 22mm lens on a 35mm camera. I love wide angle lenses in general so this one sees a lot of duty on the 645.
