Here are some photos I never planned to take. I'm not
really a flower photography buff, but a couple of years ago I did a standard cleaning and adjustment on my old
Pentax K2 and wanted to get out and shoot a roll of slide film just to be sure the light meter and shutter
speeds were correct. I didn't get a chance until weekend when Lisa and I went to visit her parents at their
Massachussetts home (nicknamed "Camp Pine"). Having no other subjects handy, I burned up a roll
of Ektachrome shooting flowers in the garden. Thanks to a sharp macro lens (Pentax SMC-F 100mm f2.8) and
perfect lighting conditions (we even got a nice spell of rain part way through the session), the resulting
photos were too good to throw away.
Note that these photos have been cropped slightly to fit into a 600 by 800 pixel format, which coincidentally
makes them convenient to use as background art for your computer monitor ;-)
