I had little time for my own photography this year, although that's getting to be a regular occurance.
Still, I managed to get away on Friday morning before event registration and all the other business of the weekend began. I decided to
drive down Route 221 from Grandfather mountain toward the town of Blowing Rock and check out the many streams that come down through that area from off the mountain.
Then on Saturday morning I did the hike along the ridge at the top of the mountain on the grandfather trail to MacRae Peak and Attic Window Peak.
I suppose most of these shots fall under the heading of "technically proficient but artistically so-so", which is typical
for circumstances when you're fitting a bit of photography in between other events. But the whole experience is still wonderfully theraputic!
