Books
There's something unbeatable about the look and feel of a physical book with photographs printed on actual paper. They just seem a little more "real" than images on a computer monitor. There are technical reasons — limited color gamut, etc. — why this shouldn't be true... but it is true. The books here are those I've written (and photographed) myself or, in the case of the PDML Photo Annual, books I've edited. You can buy paperbacks and two kinds of hard cover of each book direct from the printer via the link at the bottom of each section. Or you can purchase paperback copies from me through the "Add to Cart" button below each cover art image on the right.

NOTE: Be sure to search online for "Blurb Discount Codes" before ordering. Blurb has recently raised their prices considerably but they have a "sale" going on via discount code virtually all the time. (This means they've basically kept their prices the same while giving the illusion that you're getting a deal.)
For ebooks I recommend FB Reader for Android. (It's also available for Windows, Mac, Blackberry and Linux platforms, though I have only tried the Android version.)

The book is 240 pages long, structured from fundamental concepts in the earliest chapters, basic Photoshop tools and techniques in the middle and introduction to more advanced concepts toward the end.
