I've taken the plunge into online self-publishing with a new book, "Auto Parts".

A few years ago I was walking through the car show at the Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix and was struck by the beautiful details of many of the old cars on display. I'm not a car enthusiast, so I was looking at the vehicles on display more as shapes, forms and textures than automobiles. I thought that many of the parts of these cars constituted works of art in themselves. Photographing these parts in isolation — out of context, as it were — emphasized their artistic aspects. I took hundreds of photos that day and continued to keep an eye open for creative "Auto Parts" to photograph. The result is this book, an exploration of auto "parts", old and new, as art.

You can also get this book in hard cover form, though at this time the hard cover version is available only through Blurb.com. It's $24.95 plus shipping, but the quality of the printing and materials is quite superb. If there's sufficient interest, I'll order a batch to sell here in the near future.
